Offered here is this impressive transistor radio from Toshiba made in Tokyo, Japan. It pulls both AM and FM reception. A well built radio, it measures only 6″ wide but it weighs 19 ounces so it is a handful. The radio has two feet that can pivot out from the bottom to help balance it.
This features solid state integrated circuit technology which explains its performance. This little guy put out an amazing 300Mw of big sound and it has a bass/treble switch to customize the sound. It runs on 4 AA batteries which fit into a unique removable cartridge on the bottom. It has a heavy duty telescoping FM antenna that extends a full 28″, but most stations will come in fine without extending it.
