Offered here is this black leather Zenith Royal 700 made in 1957. The Royal 700 is normally found in tan leather, but a few were made in black which looks especially sharp against the chrome grill.
This is a smaller portable than most of the others made in the 50’s as it measures only 7″ wide. This radio is in nice original condition and plays as it should. The battery tube has been replaced and now this runs on a common 9 volt battery. The leather cabinet has held up nice and shows no loss of stitching. The chrome metal grill is bright and clean. The leather carrying handle is strong and without breaks. The tuning operates as it should throughout the scale. When will you see another black 700 offered for sale?
